In simple terms, It’s a sales agreement between two parties. The consignee (La Brocante) sells goods on behalf of the owner, the consignor (You).
The beauty of selling pre-loved items is that we never know what we will receive or who will fall in love with it! Popular items include unique one-of-a-kind pieces, reasonably priced original artwork, vintage items, sideboards, and leather furniture. All items should be in good, clean condition.
The selling price depends on several factors, including the item’s condition, its availability, and its desirability in the market.
Yes, once your items are approved, we will email you with our proposed selling price and sale split. If you agree, your items will be displayed at our next Market Day.
We take a commission from all sales, the percentage of which will depend on the selling price of the item – for further details please contact us for the agreement terms.
The advantage of selling at La Brocante is that we will manage the selling process for you. This includes customer enquiries, taking payment, associated bank fees and transfer payment to you directly, thus saving you time in managing listings and enquiries.
Your item will be seen by our large customer base at our regular market days at La Brocante in al Quoz or our website. We provide a unique shopping destination with varied design items and one-off pieces which has created and continues to grow our wonderful community of pre-loved shoppers.
Typically, we expect items to sell in 30 days. If unsold after this time we may need to reduce the price to meet the market demand. Per our sales agreement we will contact you prior to discounting the item for your review.
After 30 days we will contact you to either recommend a price reduction or for you to collect your item.
Yes we do. If you prefer to sell directly to us and not on consignment, please contact us with details.
